Bart Blatstein
President and Chief Executive Officer
Tower Investments, Inc.

Bart Blatstein is the President and CEO of Tower Investments, Inc. (“Tower”), a privately owned development company based in Philadelphia. As a native Philadelphian with a genuine love and concern for the city, Mr. Blatstein has earned Tower a reputation as one of the most esteemed and successful development companies in the region. With an unparalleled ability to transform the decrepit to deluxe, Mr. Blatstein has become a commercial, residential, entertainment and retail development connoisseur.

Recognized as an innovator in the industry, Mr. Blatstein’s keen eye for development opportunities is the driving force behind Tower’s success. Since 1978, the company has transformed and revitalized areas of the city otherwise deemed futile. Tower revived expansive tracts of abandoned land on Columbus Boulevard, transforming post-industrial buildings into thriving retail and commercial sites. In Manayunk, the company developed the largest commercial site along the Schuykill River that the city has to offer. Most notably, however, is Mr. Blatstein’s focus on the re-development of Northern Liberties, making it the place in the city to live, work and play. Also, Mr. Blatstein has ambitious plans on North Broad Street for $1 billion in development; to date over $200 million of development has been completed.

In addition to creating jobs, tax revenue and countless business opportunities for the city of Philadelphia, Mr. Blatstein is also an active member of the community; lending his time and talent to a wide variety of business, civic and charitable groups. He was a founding member of the Waterfront Developers Council, and is the former President of the Jewish Publishing Group (Jewish Exponent). Additionally, Mr. Blatstein is on the Board of Visitors of Temple University, his alma mater, and was Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Community College of Philadelphia. He has also been an active member of Northeast Treatment Centers, Israel Bonds, the Technical Assistance Center for Emerging Contractors, and was the former Real Estate Division Chairman of the Federation of Jewish Agencies, along with many other posts. Mr. Blatstein was also on the Boards of St. Maria Goretti High School, Merion Mercy High School and Waldron Academy.
